Wednesday Evening Zazen (7-9 pm EDT)

Wednesdays, 7 pm - 9m EDT.

Welcome to the Ocean Mind Sangha. Please join us for a weekly online session of silent meditation (zazen) followed by a talk or study of a text. The schedule is as follows:

7:00 pm Log in
7:05 pm Beginning of zazen
8:00 pm End of zazen and break
8:05 pm Dharma talk or study
9:00 pm Closing Chant

Please note that zazen is silent meditation (not guided), so previous experience is helpful. If you’re new to Zen and would like to ease yourself into the practice, join us for one of our Saturday sits, where Zuisei will offer an orientation that includes instruction in zazen and the practice in the Ocean Mind Sangha.

If you have been sitting for a while and want to deepen your sense of stillness and spaciousness, come at the beginning of our hour-long sit or join partway (just make sure to register before the event starts). You can also take a break in the middle, or do some standing or walking meditation.

At the end of the evening we’ll chant either the Four Immeasurables or the Four Bodhisattva Vows.

There’s no cost for this event, but you’re always welcome to offer a donation. Your generous dana supports the operations of the Ocean Mind Sangha and makes it possible for us to offer event scholarships for those who need them.

Thank you for your practice and support. We look forward to sitting with you.
